An Overview of the Dodge Ram SRT-10
- First Generation Dodge Ram SRT-10 (2004-2006)
The SRT-10 utilized a pretty incredible 8.3L V-10 engine that was also used in the Viper pickup. It produced 500 bhp. While the regular cab utilized a Tremec T-56 transmission, the Quad Cab was utilized a 48RE four-speed automatic. The truck utilized pinion steering and independent front suspension that was used in the Ram Heavy Duty.
The one major change was to the body post-2005, when large SRT-10 chrome logos were added to the side doors and the tailgate right side. The 2006 logos were a bit smaller to differentiate the two. By 2006, production had ended and 9,527 of these trucks had been produced.
