  • First Generation Ford Escape (2001-2007)

The first-generation Ford Escape was made with either a 2.0L Zetec inline-four engine or a 3.0L Duratec V-6 engine with manual or automatic transmission respectively. In 2004, Ford released a hybrid version of the Escape. 

  • Second Generation Ford Escape (2008-2012)

By 2008, the Escape had received a complete makeover with a new front grille, larger headlights, a revised rear fascia, and pronounced wheel arches. In terms of safety features, the Escape was upgraded with side curtain airbags and roll stability control. The suspension was also re-tuned and the engine was replaced with a 2.5L engine for better fuel consumption.

  • Third Generation Ford Escape (2013-Present)

The third-generation Escape is differentiated with its redesigned headlights, lower intake, and foglights. It was the very first vehicle to employ SYNC Connect as well.
