A History In Speedbike Mass Production MV Agusta F4 1000R

Though the F4 1000 has been around for a while, it wasn’t until 2007 that Agusta decided to release the upgraded F4 1000R. This was the second mass-produced iteration of the F4 1000. The engine was reworked pretty heavily to give riders 174 bhp. This all came after its first introduction in 2006 when it set the world record for the fastest production class motorcycle with 1000 cc.

Technology and Innovations of the MV Agusta F4 1000R

The F4 1000R was only around for one year and was more performance-oriented compared to its 1000S brother. It came with radial caliper struts, Brembo brakes, and a 50mm Marzocchi upside-down fork with Road Advanced Component. This was one of the first times that the Road Advanced Component was mounted on a motorcycle that went into production.

Some of the other top features of the bike included Y Spokes, Brembo forged aluminum wheels, a raised windscreen, and a Magneti Marelli Injection system. Underneath it all was the liquid-cooled, 998cc, four-stroke four-cylinder engine with 174 horsepower.

In One Generation – The F4 1000R

The F4 1000R was only available for one year and came as a successor to the regular F4 1000. Alongside the standard version, there were a few other versions released. One was the F4 1000 R 1+1 that was a Biposto version. The other was the F4 Corse, which utilized carbon-fiber bodywork and a new exhaust. There were only 300 of these made.
