The Nissan Armada was first released back in 2003. It’s a downscale version of the Infiniti QX80. This was Nissan’s first true entrance into the full-size SUV market. While the Armada was built in the U.S. up until 2016, it is now built in Kyushu, Japan.

The 2019 Nissan Armada has a powerful V-8 engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It is available in both rear or all-wheel-drive and can tow a whopping 8,500 pounds. The car can output 390 horsepower and can go from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.

The interior of the Armada is very spacious and well-insulated. It comes with a NissanConnect Infotainment system, a 13-speaker Bose system, and optional rear entertainment systems. It can accommodate up to eight people with the third row up.

  • First Generation Nissan Armada (2003-2016)

The first-generation Nissan Armada had a 5.6L V-8 engine with 305 horsepower and a towing capacity of 9,100 pounds. During 2008, the brake problems that plagued the SUV were fixed, and the bumpers, headlights, and tail lights were updated. By 2016, it was available in rear and all-wheel-drive. The engine was upgraded to output 317 horsepower. 

  • Second Generation Nissan Armada (2016-Present)

The second-generation Armada comes with a different side and rear profile, as well as upgraded features like heated front seats, sound insulation, and a 13-speaker Bose system. 

A seven-speed automatic transmission was also added.
